RallyCast provides weather-based playability guidance for tennis and pickleball. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Information the app uses

• Your device location, if you choose GPS mode and grant location permission.
• Your manual location input, such as a city, state, or ZIP code.
• Your selected date and time for a playability check.
• Your session preferences, such as session preset and tolerance level.
• Optional tracked-session data if you enable weather change tracking.

How RallyCast uses this information

• To look up forecast and geocoding data needed to calculate playability.
• To generate a 0-100 playability score and rating categories.
• To remember your settings locally on your device.
• To send optional notifications when a tracked session's rating changes.
• To check Google Play subscription access when premium features are gated.

Location data

If you grant location access, RallyCast uses your device location only to help determine weather conditions for your selected session. You can also use the app without GPS by entering a location manually.

Third-party services

RallyCast sends location queries and forecast-related requests to weather data providers used by the app, including Open-Meteo and any configured fallback weather service. If you use GPS mode, the app also relies on Android and Google Play services location features available on your device.

Subscriptions and billing

RallyCast uses Google Play Billing for subscription purchase, renewal, and subscription status checks. Payment details are handled by Google Play and are not entered directly into this website.

Data stored on your device

RallyCast stores certain settings locally on your device using app preferences. This may include your location mode, manual location input, resolved location, session preset, tolerance level, and up to three tracked sessions for notification purposes.

Notifications

If you allow notifications and enable session tracking, RallyCast may check for forecast changes before your saved session and notify you if the playability rating changes.

What RallyCast does not do

• RallyCast does not require account creation.
• RallyCast does not sell your personal information.
• RallyCast does not use an in-app advertising SDK in this project.

Data retention and control

Preferences and tracked sessions remain on your device until you change them, remove tracked sessions, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as RallyCast evolves. The latest version will be posted on this page.
